The Influence of A Mother's Prayers.....

As I sit, pleading and agonizing to God for my children, asking when will they make the most important decision of their lives?—whose side they choose to be on, God's or Satan—I feel both sad and upset. As a mother, I believe I have done just about  all I can, teaching them right from wrong ,by my actions  and being transparent about my mistakes and the consequences that may follow. 
However, it seems that they don't always listen, and some even choose to learn the hard way.

I believe the  most loving thing I can do for my children is to pray for them, which I do all day, every day, every time I think of them. Yet, there are times when I wonder if God is even listening to my pleads.
Then, in my moments of doubt, God reminds me of this Bible verse: Proverbs 22:6 (KJV) - "Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it." This verse brings me comfort.
However, I can't help but ask, "But how old, God?
Shouldn't they make the decision now? Not when they are 50 years old!" God responded by asking if I made the decision at that age. It makes me realize that my journey of faith has been a process, and it might be the same for my children. Looking at old photos, I see moments when each of my children chose to get baptized, not because anyone forced them, but because it was their decision. This reassures me that they are aware and conscious of the decision they need to make. So, I will keep praying for them and never stop.

Another Bible verse comes to mind, 1 Peter 5:8 (KJV) - "Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour." It reminds me of the spiritual battle my children face, and I understand the importance of remaining vigilant and steadfast in my prayers.

God continues to minister to me through a friend who sent a beautiful reading.
It affirms that Mothers who cry out to the Lord for their families, marriages, and homes move the heart of God. When mothers stop praying, their families, especially their children, suffer. Satan seeks a foothold and starts to destroy the home, but when mothers return to their rightful place as the anchor of the home, demonic strongholds get demolished.

In moments of doubt or worry, I find comfort in a quote by E.G. White - "The influence of a praying, God-fearing mother will last through eternity. She may die, but her work will endure."

As a mother, I will continue to pray for my children and trust in God's guidance, knowing that my love and devotion will have a lasting impact on their lives.
